About Us

Beth Shalom Congregation is a cherished Orthodox shul for families of Scranton. We are warm and inviting to people who are seeking a new community, or are just passing through the green hills of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Enclosed by the beautiful stained glass windows of our main shul, the daily sounds of davening, shiurim, and learning can be heard. In our elegant social hall we host a beautiful weekly Shabbat kiddush, as well as parties and events to celebrate Simchat Torah, Chanukah, Purim, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, and more. Visitors to our shul are always welcomed with open arms. Many of our members are second and third generation residents of Scranton, and view Beth Shalom as their spiritual home.
